Server Software Ecosystem and Virtualizatio

Proxmox

Upon this robust hardware foundation, I've installed Proxmox VE to create and manage multiple virtual machines efficiently, which allows me to compartmentalize different applications and services securely. OPNSense runs on a dedicated VM, functioning as a comprehensive firewall solution to secure my network traffic and manage port forwarding with finesse.

For my personal data storage and management, I've set up Nextcloud, effectively creating a self-hosted NAS solution that keeps my data private while offering cloud-like flexibility. Additionally, an Nginx reverse proxy is configured to manage access to my various web applications, streamlining the process of hosting and accessing services remotely.

This server is the heart of my personal lab and sandbox, a testament to self-reliance and the power of open-source solutions in creating a secure, efficient, and highly functional personal computing environment.
